Cube Based Chess Set

Chess is a game for individuals that like to strategize. The game is about making careful decisions to outsmart your opponent. The game emerged in Europe during the 15th century, and chess has maintained its popularity hundreds of years later.

The Cube Based Chess Set is a simple and minimalist take on the traditional pieces normally used during chess. The Cube Based Chess Set forces people to slightly rethink the way people play chess because each piece is designed a bit differently. The design of the Cube Based Chess Set makes the game a bit more difficult to master. The set was created by Scot Cruz.

The chess pieces are all rectangular towers of different heights and each former traditional test piece is represented based on the height. For example, the pawn, which is the smallest piece, is a single small cube that measures 1.5 inches x 1.5 inches. The further the pieces go up in hierarchy, the more they rise in height.

Thankfully, there is also a built-in cheat sheet for people who have difficulty playing chess. Each rectangular piece has an indention of small squares showing a player possible moves for the piece.

A cube based chess creates a wider dimension to the game. The set is definitely innovative and changes the way a person thinks about the game itself. Chess fanatics will love the cube based chess set.
